Hicomply product updates: May 2026

We’ve introduced several improvements across document management, Trust Pages and control workflows. Here’s what changed in Hicomply during May 2026.

Optional reading for documents

Documents can now be assigned to users and teams as Optional Reading as well as Required Reading.

Optional Reading lets organisations share useful content without requiring formal acceptance or completion tracking. It is designed for:

• Awareness content
• Informational policies
• Guidance documents
• Non-mandatory communications

Trust Page download approval workflow

Administrators and subscribers can now require external users to request approval before downloading documents from a Trust Page.

• Users request access directly from the Trust Page.
• Approval users receive the request by email and notification.
• Approved users can then download the requested documents.

Coming soon: AI-powered document uploads

AI-assisted drag-and-drop uploads can suggest file names, identify clauses and map documents. This speeds up document onboarding and reduces manual administration.

Editable control guidance

Users can now edit the Guidance field within controls. Teams can add internal notes, customise implementation guidance, tailor control information to their processes and improve audit clarity.
